The Youth2030 Tools
About Youth2030 Toolkit
The Youth2030 Toolkit is an online systematized compilation of existing tools on how to work WITH and FOR youth.
It is a practical resource for action and advocacy for United Nations Country Teams (UNCTs), governments, and youth networks, including policymakers and programme implementers to implement the UN system-wide Youth Strategy, Youth2030.
This Toolkit has been built by the United Nations together with youth and comprises more than 750 resources, tools, and good practices across Youth2030 Priority and Foundational areas.
The tools of the Youth2030 Toolkit have been classified per user, domains, and themes.
User: the target audiences of this Toolkit are primarily governments, youth networks and UNCTs.
Domains: the domains of the Toolkit mirror the different sections of the Youth2030 UNCT Scorecard.
Themes: this Toolkit is thematically aligned with Youth2030 Foundational and Priority areas.
Overarching documents include treaties, resolutions, global guidance and other reference documents. Those are crucial as the first entry into a specific thematic area related to youth and/or as an umbrella to understand the global frameworks that may already be in place.
The tools under “government” provide a series of “how-to” tools to enhance governments’ capacities in meaningfully engaging for and with youth in policy and programming. These tools might also be used by the UNCTs and youth to advocate and take action towards Youth2030 delivery.
The tools under “youth” aim at supporting youth to advocate for their meaningful engagement at policy and programmatic levels and to hold accountable different stakeholders and in particular the UN, in the implementation of Youth2030.
UN Country Team (UNCT)
The tools under “UNCT” aim at providing harmonized technical assistance within countries with practical resources to support UNCTs to implement the UN Youth Strategy.
This collection consists of a subset of 100 key tools that have been selected based on their perceived relevance to the efforts of UN Country Teams and other stakeholders to implement Youth2030
Curated lists of tools, drawn from the Youth2030 Toolkit, have been created for specific user groups, including UN Country Teams, youth networks and government counterparts

The MiGOF was welcomed by IOM’s Member States the same year. The Migration Governance Indicators (MGI) were developed to assess national frameworks, and help to operationalize the MiGOF.
